How the AIOP Score works
The AIOP Score is an editorial 0–10 rating calculated the same way for every tool from the facts we publish on its page: BAA status, pricing, small-practice fit, setup and features. It is not a user review.
Formula
AIOP Score = 0.30 × BAA + 0.25 × Pricing transparency + 0.20 × Small-practice fit + 0.15 × Setup & integrations + 0.10 × Feature depth, each criterion scored 0–10, rounded to one decimal.

| Setup & integrations | 15% | Starts at 5. Named integrations (EHR, calendar, Google/Microsoft, write-back, add-on to an existing system) raise it to 7–9; +1 for self-serve trial or free access; −1 for sales-led or onboarding-fee setups. No integration named = 5 (unverified). |
| Feature depth | 10% | Counts the distinct capabilities described in the listing (3 + 1.2 per capability, max 10). For EHRs: 4 + 1.5 for each documented capability among built-in AI, e-prescribing, telehealth and billing. |
Unverified data
When we could not confirm a fact from the vendor's site or a reputable third-party source, that criterion is marked unverified on the tool page and scored conservatively. A low score can mean "not yet confirmed", not "bad tool". Scores update when facts are verified.
Limits
Scores reflect administrative fit for solo and small practices, based on public information as of each listing's last-checked date. They are not clinical, legal or compliance advice and do not measure output quality. Confirm pricing and BAA terms with each vendor.
